  I have only positive things to say about this salon, the staff, and the service I receive every time I go. Every staff member is polite, very friendly, professional, and takes great pride in his/her work. I’ve gotten countless pedicures, regular manicures, no chip manicures, and dip manicures, and have never had any problems or left unhappy with the final result. Top quality skill and service and an all-around enjoyable experience! I highly recommend Nail & Spa.

  READ IN FULL: Wish I could give 0 stars. A friend and I tried this place for the first time. We were seated immediately and the employees were very kind...initially. As we were picking out colors, the salon became busier and a handful of customers were waiting to be seated. The employees felt rushed and started to speed up our process. Our nails were not soaked, our cuticles were not cut (later when we went back they said they do not do that for dipped manicures?). We were in and out within 30 minutes. When we got home and saw our nails in natural lighting, there was glue, nail polish, and powder all over our fingers and cuticles. Our skin was stuck to the tips of our nails. They left a 1cm gap between my nailbed and where they started to paint. The manicure was $40. We went back to ask for some type of refund (we were confident the employees would understand when they saw the nails and have a responsive customer service...the nails don’t lie). The employees became extremely defensive and abrasive (with the exception of the kind pregnant employee who continuously apologized for how horrible the nails looked ). They demanded to fix it and said they don’t do refunds and that there was no manager to help. I showed them the pictures of my nails in the natural lighting and magically, a manager appeared. The manager said that if I wanted my money back, they would have to completely remove the “manicure.” This was fine until the woman aggressively removed the polish and strongly pulled off the foil. Instead of an apology, I was told I didn’t know what a powder manicure was and that this is how it is supposed to look. They told me I have to just keep washing the glue, powder, and polish off of my hands until it goes away (which I tried multiple times before going back for a refund). I have never written a review online before and hope this is my last, however, I feel I would be doing the public a disservice if I didn’t warn new customers and if the customer service wasn’t so unbelievably terrible and hostile. From previous reviews it sounds like there are regulars who have had an enjoyable experience, but the reviews that have been rated a “1” are spot on. Hopefully they do a better job when it is not busy at the nail and “spa” salon. I have uploaded photos of my nails so you can see how I walked out of the store. Thank you to the pregnant worker who tried to help my friend and I and a huge thank you to LeZa nails in Sycamore for fixing the damage that was already done!!
