Not a review for Dr Monfils directly, rather his office staff, Bobbie and Lisa. My husband was scheduled for hernia repair surgery on Jan 2nd, and unfortunately, as of Jan 1st, his medical insurance company is changing. The HR person at my husband's office and the insurance advisor worked when their office was closed for the holidays to push through his new insurance--- multiple phone calls and many hours to make it happen. When my husband called Dr Monfils office to give all of the new insurance and pre-authorization information, Bobbie was extremely rude, to the point of yelling at him for several minutes. He told her he didn't appreciate her raising her voice, but she persisted. We called the doctors office again the next day, and got Lisa on the phone. She immediately was even more rude, stating that she was mad at how my husband spoke with Bobbie. Long story short, WE have cancelled my husband's much needed surgery with Dr Monfils-- if this is how his office staff treats patients who are trying to do THEIR insurance legwork, what kind of treatment or post op care would he receive?!? I'm certain the doctor is unaware of how rude his office staff is, or simply, that he is losing patients because of them. We have rescheduled my husband's surgery with another doctor that we have previously used, and whose office staff actually cares about the patients and their well being!!
